The Andrews NC area is more vibrant than ever! Andrews is a small town in nestled in a NC mountain valley along the banks of the Valley River. If you like Mayberry, you'll love Andrews. I also work extensively through out the mountains of western North Carolina. Murphy, Hayesville, Robbinsville, Nantahala, Franklin and the surrounding areas are all familiar to me. I list and sell homes and lands all over the beautiful mountains. When you think mountain scenery, think Western North Carolina ! Surrounded by majestic and beautiful smokey mountains, the downtown areas and the valleys provide 360 high mountain vistas. The views from available home sites are truly breathtaking. We at Randy Hogsed Real Estate are very active in the Nantahala market. Whether you are looking for a lake front or a lake access property or a vacation, retirement or residential property, we have the listings and the tools to make your dream come true.

Enjoy a Spring Day in the Mountains ! MoonshinersThese fellows are no longer in business but there is lots of history to explore all across the western North Carolina area. "A legend tells of a silver mine from which the Indians obtained their shiny metal. AT the mounth of Factory Creek near Andres, is a large shelving of rock over the entrance to a cave, now closed by slides. Here lived an old Indian Sontechee, who kept all white settlers away. It is believed he knew where the mine was but he died without revealing the secret." 1939, NC, Work Projects Administration Smoke Watchers Tower This is one of the very few old fire towers left standing in the mountains. It is no longer manned and the site is used for microwave, TV and radio antennas. The road is gated but you can hike the last 1/2 mile. It is located on Johanna Bald off of Tatham Gap Road, which is part of the original Trail of Tears.
